the forest loved to hear her sing
then suddenly she fell
and broke her wing
her body ached
but not her heart
It was not an ending
but a start
though she may no longer fly
her spirits height never
reached as high
while her pain may seem at times unfair
it was God’s gift
that made her loving deeper
and her existence more aware
